Building Scale of Trend towards Doping among Karate Players

Abstract

The research aims to build a scale of trend towards doping among karate players. The researcher applied the descriptive approach thru using the survey study because of its appropriateness to objectives of research.  The research sample included 90 karate players from many Egyptian sports clubs, in age above 16 years old and those holding the Black Belt (1) Dan and above, and who enrolled in the Egyptian Karate Federation season 2017 /2018. The participants in the study have been divided into different categories "Kata, Komeite "and "males, females ".  The researcher has used the scale of trend towards doping among karate players (prepared by the researcher) for data collection.  The scientific transactions have been conducted for the scale on a pilot sample of (15) players from the research community and outside of the basic sample. The results of the search resulted in a one-dimensional scale that consists of 19 statements on decimal measurement scale. In addition, the results obtained revealed that There were statistically significant differences between Kata and Komeite players in tend of doping in favor of Komeite players, while there were no statistically significant differences according to gender of the player (male / female)
