Abstract

The research aims to identify the effect of using the guided discovery method on learning some offensive skills in handball for first year preparatory students. Among the female students of the first preparatory class at Burqin Preparatory Joint School affiliated to the Sinbillawain Educational Administration in the first semester of the academic year 2017/2018, their number was (40) female students, and they were divided into two equal groups, one of them experimental, to which the guided discovery method is applied, and the other control, to which the traditional method is applied, the strength of each group is (20) A student, and the researchers used physical tests, skill tests, to collect data, and the most important results were: the superiority of the experimental group, which used the directed discovery style, over the control group, which used the traditional program to learn some of the offensive skills under discussion in handball, where the improvement rates were for the experimental group. Higher percentages of improvement than the control group.
