The effect of computer using in cooperative learning on the achievement of some cognitive skills of floor gymnastics for students of Physical Education faculty in Port Said.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of computer using in cooperative learning on the achievement of some cognitive skills of floor gymnastics for students of Physical Education faculty in Port Said. In order to achieve the aims of the study the researcher developed an educational program using the computer as well as a cognitive test for the skills of gymnastics (conglobate front rolling, conglobate back rolling, handstand). The experimental design has been used as two groups with pre-post cognitive tests. The first graders were chosen deliberately among the four graders of the college students. (24) students were chosen randomly, among the first graders students, and have been divided into two groups (12) students for each, the control group with the style of orders and the experimental group with using computer in cooperative learning. Statistical analysis was done using “SPSS” (Statistic Program for Social Sciences) program for processing the collected data using means, standard deviation, squeeze factor, coefficient, (T) test, (Mann-Whitney) test for difference significance and (Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test). According to the aims of the study and the results of the statistical tables and in the light of the sample of the study and the discussion of the results the experimental group, who used computers in cooperative learning, excelled over the control group, who used the orders style, in the degree of the cognitive test for the first graders , Faculty of Physical Education, Port Said .
