Three-dimensional biomechanical analysis of Ura Mawashy

Document Type : Original Article

Abstract

This research aims to Evaluation of the performance of the Ura Mawashy Geiry for karate juniors using three-dimensional biomechanical analysis as a guideline. The researchers used the descriptive method using an integrated motion analysis unit consisting of 4 basler cameras, with Force Platform. The sample was (3) players. Each player of them had performed 4 trials. The results of the study showed that the pivot stage is one of the most important stages of the performance of Ura Mawashy Geiry to achieve its mechanical goal, Minimize the movement of the base foot whenever possible and move it forward and down quickly in the direction of the opponent's movement, During the moment of kicking, the footstool must have a relative stability condition, so that the movement of the body is balanced to help transfer and direct the reaction force to the kicking foot, Therefore, the researcher recommends to be guided by the findings to evaluate  and construct of educational and training programs of Ura Mawashy Geiry for karate juniors, Pay attention to the kinetic balancing exercises of the base foot using unstable surfaces for karate players, Using three-dimensional biomechanical analysis using modern measurement methods to assess, teach and train various sport skills.
