The effect of an educational program using the electronic cooperative learning method on the performance level of basic skills for beginners in swimming in Kuwait

Abstract

This study aims to identify the effect of an educational program using the electronic cooperative learning method on the performance level of basic skills for beginners in swimming in the State of Kuwait, where the researchers used the experimental approach using the three-group design, one of which is a control group and two experimental groups for pre and post measurements for each group in the skill variables under study. The sample was chosen randomly, and the number (45) beginners were divided equally, and the number of each group reached (15) beginners, from beginners in the sport of swimming in the Kazma Club in the State of Kuwait for the 2022/2023 sports season.

The results of the study revealed that there are differences between the pre and post measurements of the groups under study in favor of the post measurements, which indicates the positive effect of the educational program using the teaching methods under study. The first, which uses the cooperative learning method, then the control group, which uses the method used (commands), which shows the positive effect of the educational program using the electronic cooperative learning method (supported by educational software).

In light of the results, the researchers recommend applying the electronic cooperative learning method (supported by educational software) when teaching beginners the basic skills in swimming, with further studies using this method on team games and individual sports to judge the generalization of the results of those studies.
