An analytical study of recreational hobbies among high school students in Dakahlia Governorate

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the recreational sports hobbies of female secondary school students in Dakahlia Governorate. The descriptive approach (survey studies) was used on a basic sample of (644) female secondary school students who were chosen randomly from female students practicing recreational hobbies at the level of Dakahlia Governorate. The research team used a questionnaire form as a tool for collecting data, and one of the most important findings of the research was: the existence of a strong, statistically significant direct correlation between the total score for each axis and the total score for the types of recreational hobbies questionnaire, as the calculated (t) value is greater than its value. The tabulation is at a significance level (0.05) ، Female students’ opinions varied regarding recreational hobbies, as social recreational hobbies obtained the highest percentage, in contrast to cultural recreational hobbies, which obtained the lowest percentage. The percentages of female students’ inclinations were similar among artistic recreational hobbies, sports recreational hobbies, scouting recreational hobbies, and cultural recreational hobbies.
