Abstract

Physical education has developed rapidly due to its connection with other sciences that are affected by the rapid progress of technology. Sports medicine has become one of the important branches of medicine and the sports field that helps in the proper and rapid rehabilitation of the injured part and its return to the normal state it was in or as close as possible to what it was.
Through the researcher’s work in the field of rehabilitation, she noticed the presence of a large number of patients who suffer from weakness and shortening of the lumbar muscles, as well as their inability to regain proper motor performance represented by walking and balance performance after surgery to expand the spinal nerve canal in the lumbar region.
The research aims to develop a proposed exercise program after nerve canal expansion surgery in the lumbar region and to identify the extent of the program’s effect on:
1- Improve the strength of the lower back muscles.
2- Improved motor performance of the lower limb (walking, balance) of the sample.
3- Improved lumbar muscle extension and spinal flexibility of the sample.
Research hypotheses:
There are statistically significant differences between the pre and post measurements in favor of the post measurement in the muscular strength of the back, the improvement of the motor performance of the lower limb (walking, balance), the extension of the lower back muscles and the flexibility of the spine of the lumbar region
