Abstract

This research aims to identify the effectiveness of using the formative assessment strategy in teaching the weightlifting course for students of the Faculty of Physical Education, Mansoura University, by identifying the effect of the educational program prepared with the formative assessment strategy on the level of skillful performance of the snatch, the clean and jerk lift, , and the level of achievement in weightlifting. Where the researcher used the experimental method on a sample of (42) students who were divided into two groups, the control group used the followed program and the experimental group used the educational program using the structural evaluation strategy, and the research was applied in the second semester of the academic year 2020-2021 , The results revealed that the use of the formative assessment strategy contributed to making the greatest impact in improving the level of skillful performance in the snatch and the level of skillful performance in the of the clean and jerk , and it contributed in a positive way to learning and an improvement in the level of academic achievement of the experimental group, and the most important recommendations of the research was to activate teaching Using constructive evaluation with its various methods in teaching the course of methods of teaching weightlifting and the curricula in the faculties of physical education.
