The effect of a targeted recreational sports program on the psychological and social quality of life for deaf and hard-of-hearing students in Dakahlia Governorate

Abstract

The research aims to identify the effect of a directed sports recreational program on the quality of psychological and social life for students who are deaf and hard of hearing in Dakahlia Governorate. (56) students, and they were divided into two groups, one experimental and the other control, the strength of each group was (20) individuals, in addition to the number (15) individuals as an exploratory sample, and among the data collection tools (the proposed recreational and sports program, the measure of the quality of psychological life, and the measure of the quality of social life for students Deaf and hard of hearing - prepared by the researchers).
One of the most important findings of the study is that the recreational sports program has a statistically significant positive effect on the level of the quality of psychological life, and the quality of social life for deaf and hard-of-hearing students in its various dimensions.
The researchers also recommend the need to involve the disabled as much as possible in the practice of recreational activities of various kinds because of their role in alleviating negative mental illnesses.
