Build a measure of ability to take The positional decision of football referees in the Arab Republic of Egypt

Abstract

The research aims to identify the effect of using the video assistant referee (VAR) technique on the self-confidence and decision-making ability of football referees in the Arab Republic of Egypt.As well as identifying the differences between the average scores of the research sample in the variables of self-confidence and decision-making according to the variable of experience and the level of arbitration. The researcher used the descriptive approach, in order to suit the nature of this research.The research was conducted on a sample of (60) referees registered with the Egyptian Football Association for the 2021/2022 sports season, in addition to 20 referees as a exploratory sample. The researcher used the following tools to collect data (records of the main referees committee in the Egyptian Football Association, foreign references and the network). Global information collection Internet,The special situational scale for football referees, “prepared by the researcher”, the self-confidence scale - prepared by Robin Feely - Arabized by Muhammad Hassan Allawi, the decision-making scale for sports activities referees - prepared by Mr. Abdel Moneim. The results of this research resulted in a direct correlation Statistically significant at a significance level of 0.05 between the mental abilities under study (self-confidence and decision-making among football referees).
