The Effect of the Pilates exercises program on the level of some components of physical fitness for basketball skills for second year students (girls) at the Faculty of Physical Education in Mansoura

Abstract

The research aims to identify the effect of the Pilates exercises program on the level of some elements of physical fitness related to basketball skills for second year students at the Faculty of Physical Education in Mansoura. The university (2021 - 2022), where their number reached (60) female students from the total community, and they were divided into two groups, an experimental group and the other a control group, and the number of each of them amounted to (25) female students. Female students for each group in addition to (10) female students as an exploratory sample to conduct scientific transactions for the registration tests. The research continued for (8) consecutive weeks at a rate of (2) educational units per week. Each of the two groups has a time unit of 90 minutes, and therefore the application of the program includes (16) educational units, and the experimental method was used using Pilates exercises with the experimental group, and the traditional exercises with the control group. The results showed the effectiveness of the Pilates exercise program and its positive impact on the level of physical variables.
