Abstract

The Effect of a Diversified Recreational Activities Program on the Emotional Intelligence of Pre-School Children



The research aims to identify the effect of a diversified program of recreational activities on the emotional intelligence of preschool children. The research team used the experimental method by designing one experimental group with the pre and post measurements, and the research sample included (18) preschool children enrolled in Al-Fayrouz Language Nursery at the city of Mansoura in Dakahlia governorate by the intentional method, and the emotional intelligence scale (prepared by Iman Abbas (2007 AD) and the recreational activities program (prepared by the research team) were used as tools for data collection The results of the research concluded that the recreational activities program contributed to the development of emotional intelligence for pre-school children One of the most important recommendations was the use of the recreational activities program by specialists, and attention to the development of emotional intelligence in all ages, especially pre-school, and encouraging children to continue practicing recreational activities, through (awareness of the importance of practicing recreational activities through, seminars - workshops - Courses and brochures, setting up recreational programs that suit the interests and tendencies of children, honoring the distinguished children participating in recreational programs, providing the necessary capabilities to practice recreational activities) and conducting scientific research similar to the impact of recreational activities programs on some psychological variables (isolation, loneliness, psychological energy) among children before school.
