Effect of mental training program by using some psychological skills to develop emotional state for tennis Juniors

Abstract

The development of psychological skills must go hand in hand with the components of physical fitness and that skills such as relaxation, concentration of attention, mental visualization and others must be planned for their development, and that integration in preparation, especially in the initial stages, must work to develop physical and skill capabilities as well as mental and emotional, and omissions Such preparation hinders the achievement of achievements, and therefore this research aims to identify the effect of a mental training program using some psychological skills to develop the emotional state of tennis juniors. The athlete, the network test to focus attention, the emotional arousal scale, and the research sample was chosen in an intentional way from the youth of Jazirat Al-Ward Sports Club in Dakahlia Governorate for the stage of under 16 years and who are registered with the Egyptian Tennis Federation for the sports season (2020 AD / 2021 AD) and the total size of the sample reached (30) young They were divided randomly into two equal groups, an experimental group consisting of (15) young people, and a control group consisting of (15) young people, and The results of the research indicated that the mental training program led to an improvement in psychological skills, namely relaxation, concentration of attention, and mental visualization, as well as improving the emotional arousal of tennis youngsters.
