Abstract

Importance and Need for Research:

• The research derives its importance in that it is an attempt to combine mental skills (relaxation - mental visualization - focus attention), and some jump skills in ballet (jumping with switching feet - cat jumping - sessions) among female students of the Faculty of Physical Education - Mansoura University.

• This research is an attempt to measure the methods of mental skills in ballet, especially jumping skills, to improve the performance level of college students.

The research aims to: Identify the effect of mental skills on the level of some jumping skills in ballet (sesoon, chang mah, badosha) in ballet for third year students (Teaching Division) Faculty of Physical Education - Mansoura University. Method: The descriptive method was used using the survey method for its suitability to the research procedures. The sample: The research sample was chosen by the intentional method from the third year students of the Faculty of Physical Education, Mansoura University, and it included (60) female students, their ages ranged between (19-20), and the researcher performed homogeneity in the variables of age, height and weight. Tools: - Sample homogeneity tools. - Tools for measurements of the variables (physical, mental, research sample). The results are: 1- Predictability of jumping skills in terms of the level of mental skills. 2- There is a correlation between mental skills and the level of jumping skills.
