Impact of self-organized recreational activities on the sense of psychological loneliness for Faculty of Physical Education students during the pandemic of novel corona virus (Covid-19)

Abstract

Research aimed to identify the effect of practicing self-organized recreational activities on the feeling of psychological loneliness for students of the Faculty of Physical Education during the pandemic of the novel corona virus (Covid-19), Researchers used the descriptive approach in the survey method for its relevance to the objectives and questions of the research, and the research community consisted of students of the faculty of physical education - Mansoura University, Research sample included the students of the Faculty of Physical Education, Mansoura University in the four academic levels. Data collection tools included a questionnaire of practicing self-organized recreational activities prepared by researchers, Psychological loneliness Scale prepared by (Russell, 1996), Transilsted by Maryam Marrakchi (2014), Most important results were that the dimension of practice of self-organized recreational activities concept obtained an average of (12.63) and the highest percentage of (70.17%), and the dimension of losing mutual familiarity with others, it obtained an average of (10.02) and the highest percentage (66.80%), and there are A statistically significant inverse correlation between practicing self-organized recreational activities and feeling psychological loneliness among students of the Faculty of Physical Education, Mansoura University during the pandemic of the Corona virus. There are also statistically significant differences in the response to the special dimensions of practicing self-organized recreational activities during the novel corona virus pandemic in the five dimensions and the total degree of the questionnaire according to the variable nature of practice (practicing - non-practicing) for practitioners, ,
