The effect of a training program for some psychological skills on developing the emotional state and reaction time for table tennis juniors

Abstract

The aim of the research: to identify the effect of a training program for some psychological skills on developing the emotional state and reaction time for table tennis juniors. The researcher used the experimental method, and the research sample included junior players (13-17) years old at Al-Hiwar Sports Club in Dakahlia Governorate. The sample size is (60) students divided into 30 experimental samples, 30 control samples and 20 exploratory samples. The most important conclusions were that the psychological skills training program is effective in developing (relaxation - mental visualization - focus attention), and the psychological skills training program is effective in developing the level of performance Psychomotor skills for table tennis juniors. One of the most important recommendations is to pay attention to educating coaches, players and players of the importance of the role played by sports psychology in raising the level of performance, and to pay attention to the application of the proposed psychological skills training program.The most important results
• Work to introduce training on the psychological skills (mental) the subject of the research and other psychological skills that contribute to increasing the efficiency of performance in all different sports, in proportion to each sport and its needs.
