Abstract

The research aims to identify the impact of the use of water recovery exercises on some functional variables (heart rate - lactic - cortisol hormone - acidic and alkaline of the blood - vital capacity) and the record level of the sprint swimmers. The researcher applied the experimental method by designing for one experimental group by using before and after measurements, Sample was chosen deliberately from Gezera Club swimmers 15-16 years who registered with The Egyptian Swimming Federation, The main research sample included (5) swimmers, while the exploratory study was conducted on (2) swimmers with the aim of selecting and codifying the exercises used, The water recovery exercises were applied during the special preparation and high-intensity training periods of the training season. The results showed that the water recovery exercises have a significant effect on improving swimmers' vital capacity, the water recovery exercises contributed to a decrease in both heart rate, blood lactate concentration and cortisol level after physical exertion, and showed also the water recovery exercises led to an improvement in the record level of the sprint swimmers
 50-100m.
