Abstract

The research aims to identify The effect of using Metacognition Strategy(modeling- Self- Questioning) to learn some offensive skills in Basketball of the student at the Faculty of Physical Education- Mansoura university. In light of the systemic approach, the basic research sample was selected (48) Then, the number of (5) students from the non-organized in the attendance was excluded to become the number of the basic sample (40) students from the second year of the Faculty of Physical Education in Mansoura, students were randomly divided into two groups, one experimental and the control group (20) Students. The study lasted 8 weeks, with a unit of education per week and the implementation time of the unit was (90) minutes and (45) minutes for theoretical units. The application included 8 educational units. The researcher used a program using program of Metacognition Strategy(modeling- Self- Questioning)with the experimental group. The results showed the effectiveness of the program using the Metacognition Strategy(modeling- Self- Questioning) and its effect on the Achievement in Basketball of the student at the Faculty of Physical Education compared to the traditional method.
