Abstract

The issue of children and youth practicing weight training has received controversy in recent years. The scientists and researchers were divided between opposing or agreeing with caveats. Many scientists stress the importance of educating and training for children and talented children in the weightlifting sport during the early age, developing appropriate programs for them, which that helping to avoid chance and personal experience. The current study aims to design two educational programs using weights, one of them follows the regular method and the second follows the circuit training method. The impact of the two programs on some physical and skill variables will be studied for young lifters in the age group 10-12 years. The two programs were applied for a period of two months (8 weeks), three training units per week. Two experimental groups design (n 1 = n 2 = 10) were applied. Pre and post measurements were processed, using SPSS software. The results indicated that weight training as part of an educational program contributes to the development of strength-endurance, speed strength, maximum strength, motor speed, transition speed, and respiratory-periodic endurance, as well as supports and improves the skillful performance of weightlifting children in the age group 10-12 years. The use of circuit Training with weights is better in impact than usual horizontal arrangement.
